Safe – a feeling of comfort, familiarity and peace

Place-  any location or anywhere.

Safe place these two words next to each other and I only think of the the sea, ocean, beach whatever you want to call it, give me waves! Many people don’t understand this concept but a safe place can be anywhere, on your bed, at the roof of any building, on the pitch, at your grandma’s house. A place where your heart cannot be broken and where happiness is always guaranteed.

My love for oceans has proven stronger than my love for other natural areas, the ocean for me is just beyond perfect and calming. From the view of deep blue water to the sound of crashing waves on the shore, I love everything, the birds flying or the kites, the people around, the sand, the sailing boats and ships, it is my ultimate safe place; I know so because I am ready for the ocean anytime, even at 2am, take me.

The funny thing is I don’t swim, at all, put me in water and wait to hear screams at the top of my lungs, so why would someone who can’t swim love the beach? Its majestic, the waters hide so much, it’s unforgiving yet gentle, it unites us all, just one ocean.

If I am at sea I lose myself, my thoughts get lighter, my dreams seem nearer, my heart gets happier, it’s a beautiful feeling. I usually always suggest the sea for most occasions, meet ups, barbeque, picnic….e.t.c

Now if I cant get to the ocean I improvise for example lakes, rivers, waterfall, dams anything with water and the great sky above, not pools please.
